Funding news: Community grants from Greggs

November 13, 2025

The Greggs Foundation Community Grants Programme continues to make a lasting impact by supporting local charities and community organisations across the UK. This long-term funding initiative offers grants of up to £20,000 per year for up to three years to help organisations deliver practical, locally focused solutions that make a real difference.

Who can apply

The programme is open to charities and community organisations based in Greggs’ geographical focus areas. Applicants should demonstrate:

  • A clear understanding of the key challenges facing their local area
  • The ability to deliver programmes that have a positive, measurable impact
  • A commitment to reducing isolation, building community networks, and creating opportunities for local people

Priority is given to organisations that help individuals access essential community services, develop confidence and skills, and improve wellbeing through connection and support.

Eligibility criteria

Greggs Foundation Community Grants are available to not-for-profit organisations and based in one of Greggs' geographical focus areas.  Focus areas will change from round to round and will be published on their website and social media.

Organisations successful in receiving funding are focused in one or more of the following areas:

  • Addressing direct needs in the local community
  • Providing food and support for individuals
  • Reducing social isolation and widening networks
  • Building knowledge, confidence and opportunities

Making a real difference

Greggs Foundation recognises that every community faces unique challenges — from social isolation and food insecurity to employment barriers. The Community Grants Programme provides flexible funding to meet those needs, helping local organisations grow and sustain their impact over time.
