Case study: Working to accelerate sustainability disclosures around the world

April 2, 2025

We have been working with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Foundation for over a year now and are very proud to support the fundraising work they are doing in the sustainability space.

The IFRS Foundation sets standards used globally for financial reporting that improve the reporting between companies and investors. This includes the development of sustainability standards through the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) that will result in a high-quality, comprehensive global baseline of sustainability disclosures, increasing transparency and promoting accountability.

IFCo has been supporting the development of the IFRS’s Corporate Champions Network, a funding mechanism set up by the Foundation in 2023 to create a network of engaged companies to support the ISSB’s work. The Network has successfully grown to 30 members representing a diverse group of corporates and raising over GBP £2million in 2024.

Brian Gougherty, Director of Development and Fundraising at the Foundation said “IFCo has become the fundraising team’s valued partner since they started working with us in December 2023. Bill and Sarah have helped us understand where the opportunities for growth are and advised us specifically on how we develop our prospect base. They have helped us craft a value proposition for the Corporate Champions Network and have worked with us to adapt it for our different stakeholders. This is alongside very valued project management throughout their time with us”.

The IFRS Foundation is currently recruiting for a Fundraising Coordinator and Fundraising Director. Find out more about these posts here.
